Dear AP Regional ComSoc Member,

I am pleased to inform you that two of the Asia Pacific regional ComSoc
members got elected in the 2005 IEEE ComSoc election. I was elected to
VP-MD and Khaled Ben Letaief to MaL.
(please see the list of new officers below). I believe this election was made
possible thanks to the strong support of the AP regional members. I would like
to take this opportunity to deliver my deep appreciation to each of them.

By being elected to VP-MD I will have to take a heavy responsibility in the
operation of ComSoc, not only for the VP-MD area but also for the overall
ComSoc operation. I will do my best for the globalized and balanced growth of
ComSoc for the benefit of all the ComSoc members in every region.
Nevertheless, I will need continued support and advices of all the AP
regional members. I look forward to getting your inputs and comments.
