Sirikiat Lek Ariyavisitakul received his bachelors, Masters, and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Kyoto University. From 1988 to 1998, he worked in research at Bellcore, Bell Labs, and AT&T Labs in New Jersey. Since then, he has been Vice-President of Research in a start-up company and is now an independent consultant. Lek is an IEEE Fellow and Secretary of ComSoc’s Communication Theory Committee.
