Honolulu April 11th, 1999

Enterprise Networking Committee Meeting was held at NOMS'00 in Honululu on April 11, 2000.

The meeting agenda was approved as proposed. It was reported that the Symposium at Globecom was a great success. The discussions on the future plans for the Enterprise Conference, co-location with Supercomm was discussed at length.

There is increasing emphasis on Enterprise Networking and there is an excellent complementry relationship between EntNet conference and Supercom.

The co-location idea was viewed positively by all.

However, the members see a lot of overlap in the membership of Entnet and CNOM. There is also an overlap in members who (actively) participate in NOMS, IM and possible EntNet conference. What seems to be missing in all these conferences is the participation of practitioners and operators of networks. It was proposed that we make efforts to attract them.

The proposal of the confererence co-location with Suprcomm was discussed. It was a general consensus that the proposed co-location too ambitious and difficult to manage, based on the current list and availability of the volunteers. It was recognized that EntNet is an important and rising topics therefore must be continued.

All agreed to propose a scaled down version of the conference for co-location with Supercomm and to establish a closer relationship and partnership with their leadership.

Additional items:

The term of the current EntNet officers will be finishing later this year.

A nominating committee for electing new officers was proposed which consists of Shri, Doug and Scott Marcus.

The meeting adjourned at 6:45PM.
