ICC 2012 is a “paperless+ Conference” meaning that the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) to the extent possible will offer traditionally printed material — such as the program, proceedings, presentations, exhibition guide, newsletters, notices, etc.—in electronic form through a paperless+ conference device. This tablet (device) constitutes the paperless+ conference application and electronic computer tablet. The tablet comes with the manufacturer’s warranty. IEEE ICC 2012 conference has selected the Westin Ottawa Hotel as the conference headquarter hotel due to its direct connection and
easy access to the Ottawa Convention Centre (conference venue).

Significant financial penalties will be assessed should IEEE ICC 2012 fall short of the expected number of guest rooms’ attendee. ENTRY TO CANADA VISA

Here is a brief summary of the VISA regulations for persons travelling to Canada to attend conferences. Note that the latest and official information on travel to Canada is maintained by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).

EU and EEA (European Economic Area) nationals do not require a visa. In general all other foreign travelers require a visa for stays in Canada. An overview of countries indicating whether its citizens need to apply for visas is listed here. For visa exempt travelers, find out more here.

Do not delay in making your VISA arrangements, if needed, for entry into Canada. Processing times by Citizenship and Immigration Canada may take a few months. VISA arrangements are the responsibility of the participants.
