Marie-Jose Montpetit, Teledesic
Marie-Jose Montpetit (SM'97) holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal, Canada. She is currently Senior Architect at Teledesic in Kirkland, Washington. Her main responsibilities are in the development of the network architecture and in particular of the network core capabilities and the interface and protocol development of the Teledesic network. Before joining Teledesic, Dr. Montpetit was in Spar Aerospace in Canada working on projects funded by the European Space Agency on the next generation satellite systems and on ATM via satellite. Dr. Montpetit was Guest-Editor of IEEE Communications Magazine Special Issue on Broadband via Satellite (July 1997).
