IEEE Region 8 and IEEE Russia Siberia Section are organizing a new international conference named SIBIRCON. This conference will be the analogue of other IEEE R8 conferences (EUROCON, MELECON, AFRICON) intended to bring the IEEE and its scientific standards to the geographic region comprising the "Siberian" part of Russia (actually, the territory from the Ural to the Far East), Iran, Republics of Middle Asia and other neighboring countries. But in fact the participants all over the world are welcome.

The first SIBIRCON will be held in Novosibirsk, Russia, from 21- 25 July, 2008
