Officer Candidates Anyone?

Do you know someone who would make an excellent officer of the Society? Our Nominations & Elections Committee welcomes your suggestions for officer positions on our Board of Governors, effective 2003. The positions of President-Elect and four Members-at-Large will be filled in the election that will be held in spring, 2002.

Candidates for that election will be under consideration by the Nominations & Elections Committee when it meets during ICC. Your suggestions are welcomed until the Committee convenes at GLOBECOM in November. Those submitting recommendations will be told whether their choices have been included in the slate of candidates named by the Committee. After that, nominations by petition will be accepted until January 31.

ComSoc seeks candidates from every region of the world, cultural background, and constituency. Your participation is one way of making the Communications Society more open, innovative, and responsive to its members. Please remember that officers serving on our Board of Governors must be Members of the Society. Our President-Elect (as well as the Vice Presidents) must be Senior Members or Fellows of the IEEE.
