Communications Society Chapter – 1999
Numerous efforts were made by a few persons to realize some semblance of an EXCOM and some activities. These efforts were not sufficient and at one stage there was the notion that this Society was not going to be functional.
Progress was made when two other persons expressed their intention to serve on ComSoc EXCOM. It was still difficult to locate a third, to make up the four. Anyway, in September the slate of three was nominated. This recommendation was carried through the Annual General Meeting.
So the slate for the new year was now Chapter Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary/Treasurer.
