Membership Applications

There are 3 Options in joining the IEEE Communications Society. You can download the forms by clicking on the appropriate link (Please note that PDF files can be viewed with Acrobat Reader freeware)

Option 1 - Communications Society Membership
(for current IEEE members who wish to join ComSoc)

Option 2 - Both IEEE and Communications Society Membership

(People with a technical interest related to any aspect of the communications field and engineering, or the electrical and electronics field can apply for full IEEE and IEEE Communications Society membership. Fees are determined by where you live.)

(Full time students studying in the communications field and engineering, or the electrical and electronics field can apply for student IEEE and IEEE Communications Society membership at greatly reduced fees to meet their needs. Fees are determined by where you live. )

Option 3 - Communications Society Affiliate Membership
(People with a serious interest in any aspect of the communications field, may qualify for membership. Members of related professional associations automatically qualify.)

Note:The IEEE is an association of technical professionals working in all areas of electrical and electronics engineering and related fields. We require a great deal of information about individuals applying for membership. We need this information to evaluate your qualifications for membership and to serve you better once you are accepted. Please complete the appropriate application and then print out the completed form, sign it, add your payment (check, money order or credit card information) and fax or mail it to us. It is comprised of some 10 pages (12 - 20 screens) that you can complete as you go from page to page. We ask that you provide all of the requested information, as any omissions may delay processing and receipt of your publications and other member benefits. The application review process generally takes two to three weeks, after which you will be notified by mail as to your membership grade and status. This process does not start until payment has been received.
