As
Director of Magazines for the IEEE Communications Society, I am
very pleased to announce this new quarterly publication. IEEE
Optical Communications promises to be a significant part of our
initiative to bring together and better serve the growing community
working in the field of optical communications. We are indeed
fortunate to have recruited two experts in the field as Co-Editors,
Stam Kartalopoulos and Chunming Qiao.
