A Message from ComSoc Vice President of Member Relations
ComSoc Chapters are local units that aggregate ComSoc members and promote activities for themselves. Chapters are ComSoc cells and the common place for many ComSoc members. Many of the benefits that members obtain from IEEE are found at the "grass-roots" level. At the local level, members participate in face-to-face activities and opportunities to practice, build, and develop skills.
We have recently launched a campaign for the creation of Facebook pages for chapters so that their interaction with the whole Society can be increased.
A good example of chapter facebook page is the Worcester County Section. For other Chapters already on social media, visit IEEE ComSoc Global Networks page.
Some chapters need volunteers to help with their Facebook pages. If you wish to collaborate helping a chapter, please, contact the Chapter Chair. On the ComSoc local chapters page http://www.comsoc.org/about/chapters, you can find a list of chapters and contact information.
