On Thursday, 29 November 2012, IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) signed a partnership agreement to run the IEEE Wireless Communication Engineering Technologies (WCET) certification and training programs in Taiwan.
Taiwan's NTUST now becomes one of the two partners of IEEE WCET program. The first partnership was established with The Mobile Computing Promotion Consortium (MCPC) of Japan in November 2010..
With the agreement, NTUST has exclusive rights and benefits for candidates, applicants and others originating from Taiwan. A co-branded dynamic NTUST - WCET Chinese language web site and application is now available. A co-branded version of the current WCET Candidate's Handbook will also be developed for use in Taiwan in near future.
The IEEE WCET® Certification Program was specifically designed by the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) to address the worldwide wireless industry's growing and ever-evolving need for qualified communications professionals who can demonstrate practical problem-solving skills in real-world situations.
