The Emerging
Technologies Series of the IEEE Communications Magazine was initiated by the
Communications Society’s Emerging Technologies Committee (ETC) in December
2002. ETC is a standing committee of
the Society whose role is to identify and describe new technology directions of
interest to society members and the community at large. Articles published so far in the Emerging
Technologies Series have been authored or co-authored by members of the ETC who
are leaders in their respective fields.
The editors of the Communications Magazine feel that in addition to the
ETC members, there are many highly qualified authors who have unique insight in
different emerging technology areas that would be of great interest to our
community. With this in mind, we invite
all society members and other professionals to submit novel and original
articles to the Emerging Technologies Series in future issues. Submission guidelines can be found at http://www.comsoc.org/pubs/commag/sub_guidelines.html. Articles will be reviewed by the series
editor and expert reviewers for inclusion in the magazine. Articles must be
received at least four months prior to publication. The following is a non-exhaustive list of the topics for the
Emerging Technologies Series:
Manuscripts
must be submitted through the magazine's submissions Web site at: http://commag-ieee.manuscriptcentral.com/.
You will need to register and then proceed to the author center. On the
manuscript details page, please select Emerging Technologies
Series from the
drop-down menu.
