2.10 Membership Growth

As Communications Society Chair, the continued growth of your Chapter is important. An active Chair with several energetic people scattered among key industries represented by the Society is very beneficial to the Chapter and to the Society.

Have Communications Society membership forms and information available at all meetings.

Building membership does not stop with trying to solicit new members. It means arranging good programs, providing timely meeting notices, following through with phone calls to members who are not attending,--in other words, a little "go-go" spirit on the part of the Society Chapter officers.

Take an opportunity in one of the early meetings held each year to devote a few minutes to membership activities. Review the "non-member" cards returned and try to contact these people. They may only be waiting for an invitation.
