Objectives

IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorials aims at serving the international community of communications researchers and professionals by providing a continuously-available source of peer-reviewed, comprehensive, leading-edge tutorials/surveys covering all areas of communications. It publishes in-depth review articles to help researchers and professionals in communications learn about new fields and stay up-to-date in their current field


Organizational Structure

IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorials is administered by an Editorial board headed by an Editor. The Editor is member of the Magazines Board.

Surveys editorial board members are appointed by the Editor, drawing upon a field of candidates from the membership at large, with special attention given to individuals who have previously served in related capacity and/or specialized in a technical area of interest to Communications Surveys. The Editor shall confer with the Director of Magazines in making a selection. All members of the Editorial Board shall serve a nominal two-year term, with terms extendable to another year, based on mutual agreement of the Editor and the member of the Editorial Board.


Activities

IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorials is published every quarter. It publishes original articles and a department on the reprint of the quarter. The reprint of the quarter features tutorials and surveys published in IEEE magazines few years ago and which have played a significant role in the field. This role is explained in a few paragraphs by a member of the editorial board.
