Jorge M. Hedderwick
Candidate's Statement
ComSoc's vision is "to be the organization of choice for communications
and related professionals throughout the world." In this vision
members are an active part of the Society's life, so the challenge
is to ensure that everyone is motivated to belong and participate,
a difficult task in the current scenario. As a volunteer in IEEE
and ComSoc, I've been successful in motivating volunteers, promoting
and developing local/regional technical activities, and helping
Chapters take advantage of resources available to support activities
benefiting their members. I am willing to contribute new viewpoints
to the Society management on policies, strategies, and action plans
aiming to increase participation of ComSoc's technical community.
