Candidate's Statement
Member satisfaction and sustaining ComSoc's role as a major resource,
supporting the professional needs of members worldwide so they can
continue to thrive professionally and achieve their career objectives,
is of vital importance. I will commit to achieving these goals by
1) keeping our publications, conferences, and educational products
cutting edge, delivering timely/relevant information that meets
individual/industry needs; 2) positioning ComSoc to target new areas
and technologies, with greater emphasis on making Web-based publications
and tutorials/short courses in rapidly emerging technologies widely
available to members; and 3) strengthening ComSoc globalization
and local chapter activities.
I would be honored to serve all ComSoc members and, if elected,
will use my wide-ranging IEEE service, leadership, and especially
my experience in both North America and the growing Asia Pacific
region to successfully bring my initiatives to fruition.
