Larry Greenstein
Candidate's Statement
I greatly value
the publications, conferences, and workshops of the Communications
Society, but I also strongly suspect they can be improved in efficiency,
timeliness and quality. Why, for example, has the review time for
papers increased dramatically, despite the benefits of electronic
communications? More generally, what are the various ways in which
members feel less than satisfied with these central Society functions?
I pledge, if elected to the Board of Governors, to help determine
how well the needs and desires of members are being served, and
to take steps to improve the value to them of Communications Society
membership.
