Costas Georghiades
Candidate's Statement
We live in a constantly changing world where success means being able to innovate and adapt. ComSoc must thus be willing and able to adapt and evolve into emerging areas to maintain relevance and continue to provide value to its members. This can be done by adapting our conferences and journals to include new areas related to ComSoc’s core communication area. We must also do what we can to increase participation of our members in ComSoc activities and to make it easier for students to be involved, as these students represent the future of the Society.
There are many other worthwhile goals for a candidate to pursue, but if elected, I will focus on the above two goals maintaining relevance by keeping abreast of emerging areas through our publications and conferences and in further opening up processes to make it easier for our members and students to participate.
