Nomination by Petition

Paper Petition

A qualified member desiring to be a candidate for office may do so via petition by notifying the Nominations & Elections Committee Chair and Head of Executive & Volunteer Services Department of his/her intention to gather the number of valid signatures designated in the Constitution, written or electronic, during the months of December and January preceding the election. After obtaining the required signatures, the member must submit them by January 31 to the Nominations & Elections Committee Chair and to the Head of Executive & Volunteer Services Department.



Elections - Timelines and Formats (When/How Elections are Held)

  • The President-Elect is elected during even years for a two year term.
  • The Vice Presidents are elected during odd years.
  • Four Members-at-Large are elected each year for three year terms
