16th SoftCOM 2008 Conference (Split-Dubrovnik, Sept. 25-27) has featured two keynote and five invited talks. The first keynote speech has been given by Elya Joffe, KTM Project Engineering, Izrael, the president of IEEE EMC Society, and another one by Igor Lučić, State Secrectary, Central State Administrative Office for e-Croatia

Algirdas Pakstas, London Metropolitan University, has presented an invited talk with the title “Problems and Realities of the Internet Governance and Regulations”

September issue of the Journal of Communications Software and Systems has been published (JCOMSS Vol.4, No.2). The JCOMSS journal is quarterly journal published by CCIS, Croatia, the sister society with ComSoc. JCOMSS journal is endorsed by TCCS since 2005, and is technically co-sponsored by ComSoc since 2007.

The first keynote speech has been given by Dr. Roberto Saracco, Telekom Italia, Director of ComSoc Sister Societies, and another one by Dr. Algirdas Pakstas, London Metropolitan University, UK.
