December 2, 2003
Meeting chair: Sergio Benedetto benedetto@polito.it
Meeting minutes recorded by Fulvio Babich babich@units.it

1- The meeting was called to order at 5:15 PM.
2- Conference Reports:
*Globecom 2003 (San Francisco, California) Alex Haimovich addressed the committee. There were 273 submissions and 104 accepted papers, with an acceptance rate of 38% (the conference average was between 33 and 36%). Communication Theory Symposium obtained 13 sessions (instead of 10, as proposed).
*ICC 2004 (Paris, France, June 2004) Hikmet Sari addressed the committee (due to late arrival of Moe Win at the meeting). There were 539 submissions. The Communication Theory Symposium will have 20 sessions, each constituted of 8 papers (160 accepted papers, with an acceptance rate of 30%). Unfortunately, the overwhelming amount of submissions caused some difficulties to the TPC (consisting of 31 members only), and some papers have not been reviewed yet. Sergio Benedetto urged the Committee members to give help in the review process. A list of volunteers has been compiled during the meeting.
* GLOBECOM 2004 (Dallas, Texas, November 2004) Dennis Goeckel addressed the committee. The TPC consists of 44 members. Work is going on smoothly.
* ICC 2005 (Seoul, 2005) Fulvio Babich addressed the Committee. He will co-chair (with Tolga Duman) the Comm. Theory Symposium. The ICC 2005 TPC chair asked for one representative from our Committee in the Conference TPC, and three volunteers to help in the review process for the General Conference.
3. Workshop Report
* CTW04 (Capri, May 2004) Sergio Benedetto described the status of CTW04 to be held in Capri, May 5-8 2004. Sessions have been defined, in terms of organizers, and are come to a conclusion in terms of speakers. He invited to visit the CTW04 web site at http://www.CTW04.unina.it
* CTW05 (Park City, June 2005) Chris Schlegel addressed the Committee. Contacts with the hotels are ongoing, as well as sessions definition.
The Meeting was ended at 6.45 pm.
