Outstanding Service Award

Award

 A recognition plaque.

Basis For Judging

The award will recognize members of the Communication Theory Technical Committee (CTTC) of the IEEE Communications Society who have a distinguished record of service to the CTTC community, including CTTC symposia and workshop organization, leadership roles within the CTTC, and promoting CTTC activities and interests in the broader research community.

Presentation

 Annually, at the Communication Theory Workshop. No more than two awards will be given per year.

Nominations

Nominations will be solicited by e-mail from the CTTC members in the Fall with nominations due 15 February of the year the award is to be made. The nomination should include a concise description of the candidate's accomplishments as they relate to the CTTC and up to 5, but no less than 3, recommendations. Recommendations in the form of letters (in PDF format) or text email messages should be submitted electronically to the CTTC Awards Committee chair. Recommendations cannot be from members of the CTTC  Awards Committee. No CTTC Awards Committee member can be nominated while they serve. In addition, the current chair of the CTTC cannot be nominated.
