This committee promotes interest within and outside the
Communications Society on the emerging applications and architectural
solutions for high-speed networks. A primary goal is to
serve as a focal point for activities in high performance
networking by participating in and sponsoring conferences
and workshops; encouraging publications, fostering discussion;
and providing education on the utility of high-speed networks
and possible architectural alternatives required for optimum
infrastructure.
