Rosemary Prinz, PMP
Divining Solutions Ltd

Mon, 1 Nov 2004  7:30 pm
BCIT, Bldg SE6, TELUS Theatre
In today’s global marketplace, complexity and speed are certainties. It's not enough to be technically knowledgeable. Engineers who manage people and resources during the course of a project must must be able to manage the continuously changing environment that a project can be. In such an environment, a good axiom for project management is: Tell me what you are going to do, Do it, then Prove it.

In tonight's presentation, Rosemary Prinz will discuss the evolving role of both the Project Manager and the Project Management Institute, the leading, non-profit international organization dedicated to promoting professionalism in the practice of project management. She will touch upon the following:

• Methodologies, tools and strategies.
• Real world examples of how successful project management has legitimized the discipline, specifically in the IT and Telecommunications industries
• Career development and educational resources
• Professional development, organizations and certification; and
• The evolution of a project manager – potential career paths
