IEEE ComSoc CQR Emergency Power Conference

On Monday, November 22, 2004, the IEEE CQR hosted an Emergency Power Conference at the Lucent Bell Labs Network Reliability & Security Office (NRSO) in Washington DC. 46 experts from the electric industry, the communications industry, government and academia met to discuss issues related to providing emergency power to remote communications locations, such as cell sites and remote terminals. The conference began with several presentations followed by open discussion. The group then formed three breakout sessions to address the following issues:
