Program Highlight Technical Program Chair: Mike Todd, BT The IEEE CQR International Workshop is an annual event with the purpose of bringing together industry and academic experts to present and discuss communications quality, reliability and security issues as they relate to real world issues. The output from the workshops adds to the community’s body of knowledge and serves to inform opinion and assist the development of best practice and relevant standards. The CQR2006 workshop will be held in London, England between the 7 and 9 June and will be hosted by BT. This year’s program allocates a day to each of three themes, which are topical and relevant to the workshop’s location:
Each day will comprise a morning session of presentations and facilitated discussion and an afternoon visit to a location or facility relevant to the theme. Each theme is co-chaired by two Industry Segment Chairs. Additionally, a fourth theme - the Key Technologies theme, addressing quality, reliability and security issues in topical technologies will span the three days of the workshop. All CQR delegates are required to actively participate in the delivery of the workshop objectives. In actual terms this means that applications for attendance will only be considered from potential delegates who offer to speak and present on a topic that is relevant to the themes of the workshop and who have the professional credentials to address the topic. Before registration potential delegates must have submitted, and have had accepted, an abstract of the paper they intend to present and a personal biography. |
