The Security Special Interest Group of the Technical Committee on Multimedia Communications consists of a group of researchers with a special interest in security issues relating to multimedia creation, communication and storage. Example areas of interest include watermarking for copyright protection, broadcast monitoring, covert communication etc.; secure multimedia streaming, broadcasting, retrieval, cross-layer approaches to wireless multimedia security etc. The Sec-IG has so far been involved in organizing a several symposia, workshops and special sessions in conferences as well as special issues in leading journals.
