Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering (CIEE)

Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering (CIEE) was founded in October 1934 in Shanghai. She has been reorganized and renamed as Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering since 1954 in Taiwan. CIEE includes the field of electrical engineering, telecommunication, electronics and computer information engineering. 

 CIEE Major Activities:

  • Planning and conducting conferences and meetings to discuss or present lectures on the science of electrical engineering.
  • Publishing International Journal of Electrical Engineering and C.I.E.E. Magazine.
  • Founding awards to encourage outstanding electrical engineers and electrical engineering professors and outstanding electrical engineering postgraduate students.
  • Providing assistance to members to develop electrical industry business.

Communications and Information Society, Croatia (CCIS)

Croatian Communications and Information Society (CCIS) acts as a bridge between academy and industry to support the growth of the ICT sector. CCIS is a sister society of the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) since 2002. CCIS members are active in a number of projects with ICT industry dedicated to topics such as the software engineering, the innovative companies aspects, and education in the area of ICT.  CCIS members successfully cooperate in organization of the International Conference on Software, Telecommunications and Computer networks (SoftCOM), and the publication of the Journal of Communications Software and Systems (JCOMSS).

Chamber of Engineers in Malta (COE)

The Chamber of Engineers (CoE) is Malta's sole professional organization representing engineers and the engineering profession. Established on June 9th, 1978, it actively promotes and protects the interests of engineers and the profession. Affiliated with Engineers Europe (ex-FEANI), the CoE engages in international discussions and hosts FEANI meetings. Recognized by the Inġiniera Act (Cap.321), it holds positions on boards, projects, and committees, advocating for engineers on various levels. The CoE arranges seminars, webinars, and networking events, including the Annual Engineering Conference and Malta Engineering Excellence Awards. Additionally, it offers training courses, publishes "Engineering Today" magazine, and fosters cooperation among engineers and stakeholders.

China Institute of Communications (CIC)

Founded in 1978, CIC is a state-level society registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs of PRC and qualified as a legal person.

CIC is a national non-profit academic organization in the field of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in China. serves as a bridge that links the Communist Party of China and the Chinese government to the scientific and technological professionals. Major missions of CIC are to promote academic exchanges, activate scientific thinking and stimulate technological innovation, popularize scientific and technological knowledge, provide policy advice and promote international scientific and technological cooperation.  CIC has more than 50 branches and more than 60,000 members in China.

Federation of Telecommunications Engineers of the European Union Forum for European ICT Professionals (FITCE)

The FITCE Association is a recognised umbrella organisation that supports the work of active National Associations (NAs) by using its brand to facilitate the exchange of information and fellowship between the members of NAs within the Federation.

In relation to FITCE a National Association (NA) defines a professional not-for-profit organization with legal entity in a specific European country, dedicated to advancing the profession of its academic or top level manager’s members. 

The objectives – generally defined in the Constitution – are in particular:

  • To facilitate the exchange of information and networking within the European telecommunications industry, and reaching out to embrace those relevant areas of the broader ICT industry;
  • To promote the development of science in the field of telecommunications;
  • To study a wide range of issues related to recruitment, training, skills and career building of these engineers;
  • To share acquired skills and experiences among the members in all fields of the ICT.

Open Innovations Association (FRUCT)

Open Innovations Association (FRUCT) is a cross-border cooperation framework that promotes principles of open innovation in academia and industry. The FRUCT Association was established in 2007 to increase the innovative competitiveness of the regional research teams. Nowadays, FRUCT unites over a hundred active members and six thousand followers. FRUCT has a business incubator. FRUCT teams have a good profile of participation in public programs, e.g., ENPI CBC, DIGILE IoT, COST, etc. FRUCT conferences are the main public events held every half a year. The FRUCT conference maintains high scientific standards and assists in establishing new cooperation projects. On average, 120+ participants from all over the world attend every conference.

The Scientific Association for Infocommunications (HTE)

The HTE is a voluntary and autonomous professional society of engineers and economists, researchers and businessmen, managers and educational, regulatory, and other professionals concerned in the fields of telecommunications, broadcasting, electronics, information and media technologies in Hungary. HTE’s mission is:

  • to promote the convergence of information and communication technologies, the emerge and  deployment of synergic applications and innovations.
  • to broaden expert knowledge and skills of members by means of providing information about the technology, business and regulatory trends, national and international scientific, technical and social innovations and by establishing professional relations.
  • to promote and diffuse the achievement of Infocommunications, engineering, manufacturing, and management and to facilitate the exchange of ideas and experiences.

The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE-CS)

The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE) is a Japan's largest international academic society in the fields of electronics, information, and communications. The IEICE was officially as the Telegraph and Telephone Society launched in 1917, and in 2017, we celebrated our 100th anniversary.

The IEICE Communications Society (IEICE-CS) is currently accelerating its globalization efforts. Specifically, we intend to promote the global reach of our journals, ensuring that researchers from around the world can contribute and access them. We will introduce the publication platform that allows OPEN ACCESS to our English-language journals, the IEICE Transactions on Communications (EB) and the IEICE Communications Express (ComEX), via the IEEE Xplore.

Additionally, we aim to foster international networking opportunities through workshops and conferences that transcend national borders. Since 2020, we have been holding the International Conference on Emerging Technologies for Communications (ICETC) annually as a flagship conference of IEICE-CS.

Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences (KICS)

Since its historic establishment on October 19, 1974, The Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences (KICS) has grown into the largest, best ICT academic society in Korea over the course of 49 years with over 30,000 members, 50 affiliated companies, 8 domestic and 6 overseas chapters, 6 societies, and 26 technical activity groups.

As the principal driving force of Korea’s world-class ICT, KICS provides open networks and motivates universities, corporations, government, and research institutes to engage in academic activities, technical cooperation, and policy reviews in the fields of communications/broadcasting/AI technologies and ICT convergence industries.

With the hyper-connection technology, KICS is opening up a new future for the new ICT ecosystem with the pride and passion that enabled Korea to astonish the world with its premier information and communications technology.

The Radio and Electronics Association of Vietnam (REV)

Founded in 1988, the Radio Electronics Association of Vietnam (REV) is a professional, non-profit organization in Vietnam that focuses on promoting and developing the field of electronics, communications, and information technologies, headquartered at 57 Vu Thanh Street, Hanoi, Vietnam.

REV serves as a platform for professionals, researchers, and students to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and collaborate activities. The organization also provides technical assistance and consultancy services to government agencies, businesses, and individuals in the field of electronics, communications, and information technologies.

Czech and Slovak Radioengineering Society (RS)

The Czech and Slovak Radioengineering Society (RS) is a not-for-profit association of professional experts focused mainly on wireless communications. By publishing technical texts and organizing training courses and conferences, RS aims to support the development of wireless communications, to build contacts and cooperation between industry and academia, and to help members raise their professional level.

The South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE)

Formed in 1909, the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers’ purpose is to enhance the practice of electrical engineering in South Africa and the stature of its members through knowledge, networking, influence, education and communication. 

Members are professionally engaged in the full range of engineering activities, including academic research, manufacturing, electronics, telecommunications, measurement and control, mining, and power infra-structural services. They make meaningful contributions to the quality of life in communities and the steady advancement of technology. Their efforts are acknowledged in many countries of the world.

Sociedade Brasileira de Telecommunicacoes; Brazilian Telecommunications Society (SBrT)

The Brazilian Telecommunications Society, SBrT, is a scientific society in the field of telecommunications, founded in 1983 as a non-profit civil society, which brings together professionals from the academic, industrial and service sectors.

SBrT aims to promote the scientific and technological development of telecommunications, in accordance with the interests of Brazilian society, as well as being a forum for debates, dissemination and systematization of knowledge in the areas of telecommunications and signal processing, in order to contribute to its development in Brazil and to the insertion of Brazil in the international scenario.

Informationstechnische Gesellschaft - Verband der Elektrotechnik Elektronik Informationstechnik (ITG/VDE)

The Information Technology Society within the VDE (VDE ITG) is the association for experts in the field of information technology in industry and research. The ITG is an educational and scientific nonprofit organization. Its objectives are to promote the scientific and technical developments and evaluation of information technology in theory and practice. Its seven divisions, to which more than 90 technical committees are assigned, cover the entire spectrum of information technology. About 10,000 VDE members have assigned themselves to the ITG and more than 1,200 experts work in the committees on a voluntary basis.
