Distinguished Lecturers

ComSoc's Distinguished Lecturer Tour (DLT) provides the means for ComSoc chapters and other organizations to identify and arrange lectures by renowned authorities on communications and networking-related topics. ComSoc’s Distinguished Speaker Program (DSP) enables current and past distinguished lecturers as well as ComSoc officers, IEEE Fellows, and prominent speakers to schedule lectures while traveling on business trips at a much reduced cost to ComSoc. To Nominate a Distinguished Lecturer:
Fill out and submit the 2019 Distinguished Lecturer Nomination Form.

To Request a Distinguished Lecturer:
Chapters should contact the desired Distinguished Lecturer, fill out the Distinguished Lecturer Tour Request Form. The form will automatically go to the Director and DLT/DSP Coordinator for the Region you are requesting the tour in. If they approve the tour it will then need to get approved by the Director of Membership Services. If it is approved you will receive an email from Carol Cronin with the approval notice. If the tour is not approved you will receive an email from the DLT/DSP Coordinator explaining why. Please allow up to two weeks for a response on your application.

Distinguished Lecturer/Speaker Expenses:
The Society provides an allotment to be used towards the expenditures of the Society appointed Distinguished Lecturer/Speaker. For more information about the covered expenses, please view the Distinguished Lecturer Policies & Procedures. Distinguished Lecturers/Speakers should fill out and submit the IEEE Expense Form for approved expenditures, along with receipts and send to Carol Cronin.
