Susan M. Brooks, IEEE Communications Society Executive Director, holds a B.A. in English, a second B.A. with a double major in Advertising and Communications from Michigan State University, and an M.A. in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. Her career includes AT&T (executive positions including multinational client technical sales and contract negotiations, product marketing, cross corporation project management, strategic planning, and customer care), Motorola (executive position overseeing technical publications/training and global customer advocacy for the Home Network Mobility business), and as the CEO of the Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey (an organization of 26,000 girl members and 10,000 volunteers). She serves on the New Jersey Greater Raritan Workforce Investment Board (a freeholder appointed position), is on its Executive Committee, and serves as the Chair of its key One Stop Operator Committee.
