Distinguished Lecturer Program

Distinguished Lecturer Program (DLP) connects senior IEEE ComSoc members, who are renowned communications technology experts, with ComSoc chapters so they can share their knowledge, expertise, and insights into the future of communications technology.

During the Distinguished Lecturer Tour (DLT), speakers address at least three groups in three separate locations within a reasonable geographic proximity to each other.

Groups eligible to participate in a DLT include:

  • Established IEEE ComSoc Chapters
  • Local conference organizers
  • IEEE ComSoc members in areas where no IEEE ComSoc Chapter exists

IEEE ComSoc offers the DLT in both online/virtual and in-person formats.

Distinguished Speaker Program

ComSoc’s Distinguished Speaker Program (DSP) enables current and past distinguished lecturers as well as ComSoc officers, IEEE Fellows, and prominent speakers to schedule lectures while traveling on business trips.

Request a Distinguished Lecturer or Speaker

To maximize participation at each session, Regional Coordinators will work with the Distinguished Lecturers and Chapter Chairs to schedule sessions co-hosted by interested Chapters across the region and globe. Additional requests will be considered based upon availability. (An announcement will be made if in-person sessions become available).

View the Distinguished Lecturers FAQ page.
