Javan Erfanian is an IEEE Communications Society Distinguished Lecturer with more than 20 years of experience in telecommunications research, lecturing, and practice. He has extensive experience in wireless industry and has taught many academic and industry courses, particularly on communications and wireless systems.
Erfanian’s publications are cited in research journals and textbook. He was also an editor and author for the Wireless Engineering Book of Knowledge. His recent contributions to research forums & standards bodies have focused on future wireless technologies from service environment and user interaction to next-generations of technologies, networks and operational excellence.
As a senior member of IEEE, Erfanian served as Chair of the Communications Society in Toronto and was a Canadian correspondent for Communications Magazine. In 2000, he received the IEEE Millennium Medal.
He is also a member of IEEE WCET (Wireless Communications Engineering Technologies) Industry Advisory Board.
