Submit your chapter for a Chapter Achievement Award and Chapter of the Year Award recognizing chapter excellence. Four winning chapters receive US$1,000 cash prize, and the Chapter of the Year winner will receive US$2,000.
IEEE Communications Society celebrates the achievements of its Chapters through two annual awards, the Chapter Achievement Award and the Chapter of the Year Award. The Chapter Achievement Award is a Regional award recognizing the achievements of the top-performing Chapter in a particular IEEE ComSoc region. The Chapter of the Year Award honors the IEEE ComSoc chapter ranked highest amongst the Regional Chapter Achievement Award winners.
2023 Award Applications
The 2023 application is now open.
The deadline for Chapters to submit an application for consideration is Sunday 26 March 2023 has been extended until Monday, 3 April 2023.
Chapter winners will be announced on or about 20 April 2023.
ComSoc Chapter Award Process, Prizes, and Recognition
IEEE ComSoc recognizes the best Chapters for their outstanding activities in the previous year. One outstanding chapter is selected from each of the four Regions to receive a Chapter Achievement Award (CAA).
The four winning chapters will each receive US$1,000 for their chapter, and a plaque.
One exceptional and extraordinary chapter is selected from the above four Chapter Achievement Award winners to receive the Chapter-of-the-Year Award (CoYA).
The winning chapter will receive US$2,000 for their chapter and a plaque.
A chair or representative of the Chapter Achievement Awards and the Chapter of the Year Awards will be invited to accept the awards at the Awards Ceremony during either ICC, (virtual) 28 May - 1 June or GLOBECOM, 4-8 December.
The Chapter Achievement Award and CoYA award winning chapters will be noted on the ComSoc web site and in the IEEE Communications Magazine.
The CoYA winning chapter shall be invited to attend and be honored and recognized at the ComSoc Awards Luncheon or Ceremony at IEEE ICC Awards Luncheon.
