Murali Narasimha

Dr. Murali Narasimha: is a system engineer at Apple Inc., working on cellular technology. He has contributed extensively to LTE and 5G cellular technology development and standardization. Prior to Apple, Murali was at Intel Corp., as a senior staff engineer focusing on cellular technology research and standardization. Prior to Intel, Murali was in roles in the area of cellular technology research and standardization at FutureWei, Motorola and Ericsson. Murali’s research interests are in IoT/ultra-reliable low-latency communication, vehicular communication and the application of machine learning to wireless communication. He has over 100 granted patents and has published a number of scientific articles, including a book chapter on Connected Vehicles. He has led research on various aspects of vehicular communications, including machine learning based techniques for mmWave vehicular communication and vehicle platooning. He has also led research and standards engagement on satellite based communication for 5G. He was recognized as a Master Innovator at Motorola. Murali received an M.S. and a Ph.D. from NCSU, Raleigh, NC in Computer Science and a B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
