Matt Cao

Dr. Xiaojun (Matt) Cao is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Georgia State University, where he leads the Advanced Network Research Group (aNet). Prior to joining Georgia State University, he was an assistant professor in the College of Computing and Information Sciences at Rochester Institute of Technology.  He received the B.S. degree from Tsinghua University in 1996, the M.S. degree from Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2004. Dr. Cao served as the secretary/vice chair/chair for IEEE ComSoc Optical Networking Technical Committee (ONTC). He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed journal/conference papers. Dr. Cao is a recipient of the National Science Foundation CAREER Award.
